Kiwi driver Chris van der Drift will replace Kévin Estre at the season opener of the ADAC GT Masters in Oschersleben and again at the Lausitzring.
Kévin Estre (F, 27) will miss both the opening event of the ADAC GT Masters in Oschersleben and the third race weekend at the Lausitzring due to a clash of dates. KÜS Team75 Bernhard have already found a suitable repalcement in Chris van der Drift.
Van der Drift took victory overall in last year’s Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and also contested a race in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany for KÜS Team75 Bernhard at the Nürburgring in 2015. “We were delighted with Chris’s races for us and are pleased that he can help us out at the start of this season,” said team owner Timo Bernhard.
The 30-year-old New Zealander will drive the new Porsche 911 GT3 R fielded by KÜS Team75 Bernhard for the first time at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben during official pre season testing (April 4th-5th) in order to give him the best chance of preparing for the first round of races in the ADAC GT Masters.
