Armstrong faces next ADAC F4 round at Oschersleben this weekend

The short and technical Motorsport Arena Oschersleben is set to be the home of the fourth round of the 2017 ADAC Formula 4 season this weekend. Ready to line-up at the former Eastern German venue, the Prema team is currently sitting at the top of both the drivers and the teams classifications in an effort headlined by Jüri Vips. The Estonian has not only secured two wins and a third place so far, but also established himself as a regular top-5 performer reacting well to critical situations.

Marcus Armstrong had an equally exciting season so far with four podium finishes to his name. The New Zealander, coming from the Ferrari Driver Academy ranks, made an outstanding breakthrough to victory in the previous round at Red Bull Ring and then proceeded to take two more podium finishes moving up to P3 in points.

Despite being confined to eighth place in the drivers’ championship, Juan Manuel Correa also left a good impression although his efforts were sometimes hampered by bad luck. The American delivered a good performance at Red Bull Ring by posting a second place finish and is looking forward to a further rebound at Oschersleben.

“The ADAC Formel 4 Championship has so far showed great competition with many drivers sharing wins and podium finishes,” commented Angelo Rosin – Team Principal. “In this challenging context, Jüri highlighted not only his driving skills, but also his ability to be smart and consistent, a thing that made the difference in his quest for the championship lead.

“After the needed early adaptation, Marcus also made clear that he will be among the favourites for this year’s competition. I’m looking forward to seeing Juan take the results he deserves.”

Drivers face qualifying and two races on Saturday with the third and final race on Sunday.
