Armstrong set for German F4 Championship debut

Christchurch’s Marcus Armstrong will make his debut in the German Formula 4 Championship with the Prema Team this weekend at the Oschersleben. Coming from a positive 2016 season in the ADAC-sanctioned series, which included winning the team title, Prema will field a bold line-up consisting of three drivers already seen on-track with good results in the Italian F4 opener. The venue for the first round of the German championship will be Oschersleben, a technical racetrack located near Magdebourg.

The Prema banner will be held by experienced Juri Vips and Juan Manuel Correa, who will be joined by promising Marcus Armstrong. The Estonian and the American rely on continuity for their second season with the team, while the New Zealander, supported by the Ferrari Driver Academy, will try to be a contender straight away despite being at his first season in the series.

Angelo Rosin – Team Principal
“As we always do, we will line-up for the Formula 4 ADAC series with the goal of fighting for wins and championships but also to support our drivers in their path towards professional excellence. Juri and Juan Manuel will be back for their second season with us and experience will be their secret weapon. On the other hand, Marcus has the key support of FDA and already impressed in his first F4 outing in Italy.”
