Title fight on for Armstrong

Christchurch teenager Marcus Armstrong is fighting for the ADAC Formula 4 Championship title as he heads into this weekend’s fifth round. The European based teenager is third overall and just nine points behind leader and Prema Powerteam mate Juri Vips with three rounds to play out.

Although he initially had a poor start in the German series, Armstrong and Vips have won two races each out of the 12 so far. This season has seen eight different winners and 14 different drivers on the ADAC F4 podium. Joining the Prema Team this weekend at the Nurburgring and making his debut in the series is Enzo Fittipaldi, grandson of two-time Formula 1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi.

Both Armstrong and Fittipaldi are part of the Ferrari Junior Driver Academy based in Italy and are also competing in the Italian F4 Championships in which Armstrong is currently leading.
