Supercars action has resumed at the Repco Bathurst 1000 on Saturday morning, where Triple Eight Race Engineering’s Scott Pye has led this morning’s co-driver only session at Mount Panorama.
Pye will share the No. 1 Red Bull Ampol Chevrolet Camaro with 2024 Supercars champion Will Brown, who will start 12th in tomorrow’s Great Race.
It was the second and final additional drivers session of the weekend, allowing co-drivers a final hit out ahead of tomorrow’s 1000-kilometre enduro.
Pye and Brown’s teammate Jamie Whincup – who shares Car 88 with championship leader Broc Feeney – was second quickest in a positive showing for the Triple Eight brigade.

Whincup briefly brought out one of the session’s two red flags when he spun into the gravel at Hell Corner. The four-time Bathurst winner sustained no notable damage in the harmless incident.
Tickford’s Mark Winterbottom was third quickest followed by fellow Ford Garth Tander, with rookie wildcard driver Zach Bates rounding out the top five.
Supercars will have one more all-in practice session from 1:10 p.m. AEDT, the final practice of the weekend.
Pole position will then be determined in the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout, which begins at 5:05 p.m.
Yesterday’s Boost Mobile Qualifying provided scintillating drama, with the closest top 10 in Bathurst 1000 history; 10th place Thomas Randle just 0.217 of a second off Brodie Kostecki’s provisional pole lap.
The Shootout will finalise the starting grid for tomorrow’s Repco Bathurst 1000, which begins at 11:45 a.m. AEDT.
