After a four-week summer break Formula One gets back underway and the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Team drivers Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar head to Zandvoort in Holland for this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix.
“I’m feeling refreshed and ready to be back on track after a few weeks off to recharge,” commented Lawson. “I’m excited to be heading to Zandvoort, a track where I had my F1 debut a couple of years ago.
Lawson made his Formula One debut at the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix for AlphaTauri (now Visa Cash App Racing Bulls), temporarily replacing Daniel Ricciardo after he sustained a broken hand in a crash in Friday’s second free practice session. It was an impressive debut and with limited practice time which included a spin, he qualified in 20th and finished a credible 13th in less than ideal conditions.

“I remember it being very tough, and with the weather expected this weekend it will likely be challenging again. It’s great to be going into the second half of the season following a strong end to the first half, so am ready to get back out there,” said Lawson.
Hadjar is also looking forward to being back on track.
“Zandvoort is a track I’m really looking forward to racing at in an F1 car, as it’s one of those I enjoy,” commented Hadjar. “The last few races, performance-wise, the raw speed was amazing, even if we came out without points. It looks like it might be a weekend with mixed conditions in the Netherlands, so it’s going to be challenging.
“There are 10 races to go in this second half of the season and we’re ready to give our best. I want to get back to where we belong and fight for points.”.
“The Zandvoort circuit is one of the oldest on the calendar and undulates through the sand dunes on the coastline not far from Amsterdam,” said Tim Goss, Chief Technical Orffice. “On top of the roller coaster type feel, it incorporates two heavily banked corners, one at the start and one at the end of the lap, making it unique amongst F1 circuit characteristics.
“It is tight and narrow, making overtaking opportunities more difficult, so Qualifying pace and race strategy come more into focus. The VCARB 02 has been working well in recent races, and we look forward to getting back behind the wheel and delivering some great race results in the second half of the season.”
