It was a perfect weekend for Will Bamber (FAWT2 Motorsport) at the latest round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Series race (Round 6) at the Bangsaen Street Circuit in Thailand. The Kiwi climbed the top of the podium once again having started from poll and taking his second lights-to-flag victory of the weekend (see Round 5 report) – a win that will push him further up the standings as the series heads to Malaysia later this month.

Behind him, Chris van der Drift (Team Formax) secured another impressive second place finish, his second of the weekend, after applying pressure on his fellow Kiwi driver at every turn. Completing the podium was the TeamStar Chase driver Philip Hamprecht who also had a triumphant repeat performance this weekend, clinching third place overall for the second time.

The series heads to the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia for rounds seven and eight 20-23 July.
