Team Peugeot TotalEnergies have confirmed Kiwi driver Nick Cassidy will make a full-time return to the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar grid.
“We are delighted to welcome Nick to the PEUGEOT program” says Olivier Jansonnie, Technical Director of Peugeot Sport. “His experience in various disciplines, his technical approach, and his speed make him a valuable asset for the team.”
With the latest FIA WEC round at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, a two-day test will take place after the round this weekend.
“This session in Austin will be an important first contact with the PEUGEOT 9X8, ahead of his official entry into our full-time driver line-up for the 2026 season.”

Cassidy completed in five rounds of the 2022 FIA WEC season competing for AF Corse in the GTE-AM category. Previous to that year, Cassidy earned two Toyota Racing Series titles (2012 and 2013), won the NZ Grand Prix three times (2012-14), the 2015 Japanese F3 Championship, the 2017 Super GT and the 2019 Super Formula titles.
“I’m very proud to be joining PEUGEOT for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship,” said Cassidy. “Racing for such an iconic brand in endurance racing — especially at the 24 Hours of Le Mans — is a dream opportunity. I look forward to contributing to the team’s ambitions and taking on the challenge ahead.”
