Cassidy wins Super GT x DTM race at Fuji

Nick Cassidy has dominated the opening leg of the SUPER GT x DTM Dream Race at Fuji Speedway. The TOM’S Lexus driver controlled Saturdays’s race from pole position fending off a late challenge from Honda’s Koudai Tsukakoshi.

It was a Super GT top five finish with 2018 champion Naoki Yamamoto third, 2019 champion Kenta Yamashita fourth and former All-Japan Formula 3 champion Sho Tsuboi fifth.

The best of the DTM was Benoît Tréluyer (Audi) in sixth.

The 22-car ‘Dream Race’ grid was made up from Four Audi and three BMW DTM cars joining five Super GT cars each from Lexus, Honda and Nissan.
