Hot conditions expected in Japan for Cassidy

The No 1 KeePer TOM’S LC500 drivers Nick Cassidy and Ryo Hirakawa compete in the fifth round of the Japanese Super GT this weekend at the Fuji 500 mile race.

After finishing eighth at the last round in Thailand, the pair have slipped to fourth place overall in the points standing. It was the No. 39 DENSO KOBELCO SARD LC500 driven by ex F1 drivers Heikki Kovalainen and Kamui Kobayashi that won the race after starting from third on the grid.

The Fuji Speedway round is the longest of the season and heat is expected to affect driving following a tremendously hot summer in Japan.

Regulations stipulate that there must be four driver changes throughout the 805 km race so pit and tyre strategy will be keys in determining who will compete for the victory.
