Kiwi karters Emerson Vincent from Pukekohe and Samuel Wright from Auckland will be pushing for more podium finishes at the sixth round of Australia’s Rotax Pro Tour at Puckapunyal in rural Victoria this weekend.

Vincent, 8, heads into the penultimate series round in second place in the Micro Max class and the battle for the round win in his class looks like being between Vincent and series points leader Sebastian Ruiz.

Wright, 13, is currently third in the points standings in the Junior Trophy class, but with just 15 points between he and current runner-up Callum Bishop, a good run at Puckapunyal this weekend could see the young Kiwi close in on class points leader Travis Worton ahead of the Grand Final meeting at Dubbo in New South Wales in October..

Vincent and Wright again spearhead a nine-strong team of Kiwis travelling to the Victoria/New South Wales border country for this year’s Rotax Pro Tour round.

The other Juniors are Connor Davison from Hamilton who is currently fifth in the points standings in the Mini Max class, and Matthew Payne from Pukekohe (12th), Rianna O’Meara-Hunt from Wellington (19th) and Jaden Ransley from Christchurch (26th) who run in Junior Max.

The other three drivers are Seniors, with Wellington sisters, Madeline and Ashleigh Stewart, contesting Rotax Light, Palmerston North driver Brendon Hart Rotax Heavy.

Madeline is currently ninth in the Rotax Lights class points standings, Ashleigh 13th. Brendon Hart is 10th in Rotax Heavy.

The weekend’s round of the 2016 Rotax Pro Tour in South Australia is the sixth of seven with the Grand Final meeting set down for Dubbo in New South Wales over the October 01-02 weekend.
