New Zealand’s Rotax Pro Tour regulars are back in Australia this weekend, contesting the fourth round of the Australian series at the Ipswich Kart Circuit in Queensland.

Seven-year-old Emerson Vincent from Pukekohe, who leads the points standings in the Micro Max class, heads the eight-strong group and will be joined by Connor Davison (Mini Max), Samuel Wright (Junior Max Trophy), Matthew Payne and Jaden Ransley (Junior Max), the Stewart sisters, Ashleigh and Madeline (Rotax 125 Light), and Brendon Hart (Rotax 125 Heavy).

As well as chasing Pro Tour and Grand Finals points drivers this weekend will also be competing for Queensland State titles across the various Rotax classes.

While young gun Vincent from Pukekohe is the only one leading a class so far this year, the other Kiwis are also well priced in their classes.

Sam Wright from Auckland currently lies third in the Junior Trophy class, Brendon Hart from Palmerston North is seventh in Rotax 125 Heavy, Connor Davison from Hamilton is seventh in Mini Max and Madeline Stewart from Wellington is ninth in Rotax 125 Light.

Madeline’s sister Ashleigh is 20th in Rotax 125 Light, while Matthew Payne from Pukekohe is 17th and Jaden Ransley from Christchurch is 25th in Junior Max

This year’s Australian Rotax Pro Tour series consists of seven rounds. This weekend’s in Queensland is the fourth with the fifth at Bolivar in South Australia in July, the sixth at Puckapunyal in Victoria in August and the Grand Final meeting is at Dubbo in New South Wales over the September 30/October 01-02 weekend.
