Kiwi Ben Stewart is set to compete this weekend at Queensland Raceway in Ipswich, QLD, for the second round of the Toyota Australia GR Cup series with 99 Motorsport. After a challenging start to the season, Stewart is eager to improve his performance on a track where he has previously found great success.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back on track at Queensland Raceway,” said Stewart. “It’s a place I know well and where I’ve had success before. I’m hopeful that this familiarity will help me push harder this weekend and achieve some strong finishes.”
In the opening round of the GR Cup series, Stewart faced difficulties in gaining positions, making it a tough weekend of learning. However, his past experience at Queensland Raceway gives him a strong advantage.
Last year, Stewart dominated the Toyota 86 Scholarship series at this circuit, winning two out of three races and securing the overall weekend victory. Additionally, he made a notable one-off appearance driving an Audi TCR car, showcasing his versatility and skill across widely different categories.
