Team NZ ready for Singapore street action

Team NZ is back in action this weekend as Graeme Dowsett returns for a second consecutive race in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) following his promising debut in the series during the last round, which was held at the Sydney Motorsport Park in Australia.

However, this weekend there is a real twist as not only is it PCCA’s seasonal highlight race, supporting the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, but as a Singapore-based team this represents their first ever race genuine “home” race.

Dowsett will be driving a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup supported by Earl Bamber Motorsport over the coming weekend. He had a superb run in Sydney on his PCCA debut so the experienced New Zealander is fired up and ready to race over streets he normally drives on to work!

“Really looking forward to my first home race in Singapore,” commented Graeme Dowsett. “The circuit is one of the most iconic in the F1 calendar and the familiar skyline is a magic stage to drive.

“The race weekend in Sydney a month ago was an excellent platform to launch from. For the first time really racing in a single make series present loads of overtaking opportunities and door to door battles.

“The team has grown with awesome talent coming onboard to provide a very competitive package. It is a real honour to have so many friends, family, guests and all CP employees at the track to celebrate our 15-year anniversary. Looking forward to the racing part of the weekend.”
