Foster and Reid retain NZ Endurance 3 Hour title

Neil Foster and Jonny Reid have retained their Three-Hour New Zealand Endurance Championship title after dominating the winner-takes-all race at Hampton Downs on Saturday.

The Audi R8 LMS GT3 pairing added the victory to the four-round 2019 Carter’s Tyres South Island Endurance Series title they won a fortnight ago.

Second home was the McLaren 650 GT3 of the North Island Endurance Champions Glenn Smith and John De Veth. Third was Jon and Dan Udy (Audi R8 LMS GT3).

The Class 1 title went to Shane Helmes/Rob Boland (Audi TT RS VLN). Class 2 to Lochlainn Fitzgerald Symes/Matt Penney (Honda Civic Type R FK1 TCR). and Class 3 to Geoff Manks/Marty Brown (Toyota 86).

Foster and Reid wrapped up the Class GT-A title while Anthony Leighs/Paul Kelly (Porsche 911 GT3 Cup) won the Class GT-B.

One Hour title to Nick Chester

It was a lights-to-flag win to Nick Chester in the One Hour final in his ex-V8 Supercars Holden Commodore VZ. Chester dominated both qualifying and the race, also winning the Class GT title.

Second home was Jarrod Owens (Porsche 911 GT3 Cup) with Sam McNeill third (Ferrari 458 Challenge).

Andy Duffin won the Class 1 title, Jordon Michels (Honda Honda Civic Type R FK1 TCR) was first home in Class 2 and Tim Dossett Class 3.
