Second stage Premium level garage details for Thunder Ridge revealed

Thunder Ridge Motorsport Park has confirmed a second stage of garages following huge demand that saw it almost sell out of its initial Foundation Garage offering to the New Zealand motorsport community.

A limited number of two-story Premium garages have been confirmed and an initial offering to existing Foundation garage owners saw several upgrade. That means there are both Premium garages remaining, and a small amount of Foundation garages following customers’ upgrading.

The Premium garages are larger than the initial Foundation garages, measuring 15 x 7 metres (105sqm) and include a mezzanine floor, office space, a kitchenette and a viewing balcony overlooking the track.

“It is entirely due to public demand that we have introduced these Premium garages, but with their size and location there is obviously only space for a limited number,” said Thunder Ridge Trustee Tony Roberts.

As an added bonus for potential buyers, if the remaining Premium garages and Foundation garages are sold before work on the circuit itself begins – the track layout itself is now finalised and geotech results being analysed and discussion are being held with contractors– owners will still be offered the same benefits that the circuit’s initial Foundation members were.

“Those purchasers will enjoy the lifetime benefits of a package that includes 99 years of free access to 45 practice days on the circuit each year, advertising on the pit wall, and their name on the circuit’s permanent Roll of Honour board.”

The Premium garages will be priced at a highly competitive $525,000 plus GST and can be secured for an initial deposit of $10,000 plus GST.

“And we do want to make purchase as easy as possible” added Roberts. “Payments for the garages can be spread over the construction period, and it is possible to combine with others to share the cost.”

Earthworks will commence early next year after which the circuit construction itself will begin. The first cars should take to the circuit in 2028 – as planned.

There are no body corporate fees and the only charges for customers beyond the garages themselves will be electricity and maintenance charges. A member’s garage lease can be kept in the family for generations or can also be on-sold and transferred through Thunder Ridge management, and you keep any capital gain.
