The final round of the Carter’s Tyres South Island Endurance One Hour Serie’s takes place on Saturday with overall and individual Class titles to be decided. Small brothers Chris and Johnny (Porsche 997.2 Cup) head to the Mike Pero Motorsport Park in Christchurch, 13-points ahead of Jarrod Owens (Porsche 997 Cup S) with Scott O’Donnell and Allan Dippie (Porsche 997 Cup S) seven points further back.
With 75-points on offer, winner of the last two rounds, Marco Schelp (Porsche 997 Cup S), has a mathematical chance of finishing runner-up. As he elected to compete in the Three Hour Series at the opening round and didn’t join the One Hour until the second, he finds himself 81-points behind the Smalls.

Four different Classes will be decided at the finale. The top four overall are also fighting for Class D (GT3 Type) honours. In Class C (>3501cc) it is a two-way battle with just five-points between Bruce Davidson (Chev Corvette C6R) and Murray Beeby/Karl Beeby (Nissan Skyline R32 GTR 275). Davidson needs to finish ahead of the Beeby’s to take Class honours. However, a tie is on the cards if the Beeby’s are first home ahead of the Corvette.
In Class B (2001-3500cc), four drivers have a mathematical chance of taking the title. Leading is Jordan Michels (Honda Civic FK7 TCR), 23-points in front of Dennis and Debbie Chapman (Audi RS3 LMS TCR), with Scott Milne (BMW Mini Challenge) 33-points further back. If all three faltered, Robert Gjaja (Lotus Exige turbo/Integra 2.4) has a mathematical chance at 60-points off the lead.

Six drivers in Class A (0-200cc) have a mathematical chance of winning the title. However, it is likely to be fought out between the top three with Tim Dossett (Honda Civic EF) on 263-points, Mark Meadows (Lotus Exige) on 262 and Andrew Kitching (Honda Civic) on 251. Sixth in Class is Daniel Cropp (Honda Civic) who has won two of the three rounds. Unfortunately, a retirement at the second round at Highlands Motorsport Park has dropped him down the order but still with a chance in a series where you must finish.
Qualifying takes place on Saturday morning with the One Hour race set to go before lunchtime.
