Next round of Evolution Motorsport Clubsport set to go

Round 4 of the Evolution Motorsport ClubSport Championship takes place at Teretonga Park on Saturday 20 November.

The day will feature a Motorkhana with both sealed and grass courses around cones in the morning with a higher speed Autocross in the afternoon.

The Southland Sports Car Club welcomes anyone who would like to have a go at entry level motorsport to the event, where anyone 12 years of age and over can take part. The entry fee is just $30 for Motorkhana and $45 for Autocross while should anyone wish to use the Evolution Motorsport Nissan Sentra to contest the events they can pay an extra $20. The consent of a parent or guardian is required for younger drivers. If you are interested in what ClubSport is about but are not sure it is for you don’t hesitate to come out for a look at any of the events during the season, spectator admission is free.

Many families and workplaces get involved to have their own internal competitions at events while ClubSport is great for enhancing driving skills.

Liam MacDonald of Invercargill currently leads both the Motorkhana and Autocross points having won two of the three Motorkahana rounds, Jeremy Lennon winning the other, while MacDonald has won all three Autocross rounds.

For information on entry level ClubSport contact the Southland Sports Car Club ClubSport co-ordinator, Malcolm Mitchell at 021 666 956.
