Paddon/Kennard 4th overall in Rally di Alba

Hayden Paddon and co-driver John Kennard have finished fourth overall in the one-day tarmac Rally di Alba in Italy. The pairing were the first home in the TER Rally Championship driving a Hyundai i20 R5 with the HMI Italian Rally Team .

“A really enjoyable day at Rally di Alba,” commented Paddon. “Our speed has been much better than expected after such a long absence from tarmac and how foreign it all felt at the start.”

Paddon claimed two second fastest times, finishing just 23.9 seconds from winner Nikolay Gryazin/Konstantin Aleksandrov (Skoda Fabia Rally2).

Rally di Alba is the first of four events in their 2022 European campaign. Paddon and Kennard now head to Latvia for the gravel Rally Liepāja. This will be the first event with their brand new Hyundai i20N Rally2 car before tackling two WRC 2 events, Rally Estonia and Rally Finland.
