Armstrong keen to extend lead in Italian F4 Championship this weekend

Such is the success of Christchurch’s Marcus Armstrong European Formula 4 campaign that he is now in the hunt for two separate series titles. Last weekend in Germany at the ADAC F4 Series at the Oschersleben circuit, Armstrong moved into third overall on the points table after cruising to a scintillating win in race 1.

He then posted a second place in race 2 only to bring home even more points by finishing sixth in race 3. He has now been on the podium five times in the last six races.

Heading to the Mugello circuit in Italy this weekend, the European based teenager currently leads the Italian F4 single seater championship.

Three weeks ago, Armstrong took his first race victory at the third round of the Italian Formula 4 Championships held in hot conditions at the Vallelunga Circuit in Italy.

Coupled with a further second and fourth placings, Armstrong now leads the series by just one point from Italian Lorenzo Colombo.
