Christchurch teenager Marcus Armstrong leads the FIA European Formula 3 Championship as it heads to Silverstone in England this weekend.
After the summer break it starts the second half of what is becoming a very competitive ten round season. Just one point behind Armstrong, Briton Daniel Ticktum is in second position, 11.5 points ahead of third-placed Ralf Aron.
Armstrong has been on the podium at every race meeting, seven in total including one race win.
Like the Toyota Racing Series that he has contested for the last two seasons, it is a championship that will ultimately reward the most consistent and punish those who don’t finish in the points.
