Armstrong secures pole for opening Italian F4 race at Imola

Marcus Armstrong (Prema Power Team) has secured pole position for the opening Italian F4 Championship race at Imola, Italy, with a time of 1’45”417.

Behind him are his teammate, the Estonian Juri Vips (1’45”470), and the Dutchman Job Van Uitert (1’45”471), just a thousandth of a second behind.

The leader of the Rookie standings, Leonardo Lorandi (Bhaitech), was fourth with 1’45”550.

Armstrong qualified fourth in the second session. Jenzer Motorsport placed two of its drivers ahead of all the rest: Van Uitert finished in 1’44”955 (the only one to come in under 1 minute and 45 seconds) and the Indian Kush Maini in 1’45”070. Third was Bhaitech’s Italian Lorenzo Colombo with a time of 1’45”073.

Drivers face three races over the weekend with one race on Saturday and the remaining two on Sunday.
