Cassidy confirms Super Formula seat for 2020 season

Finally Kiwi driver Nick Cassidy has confirmed his seat in the 2020 Super Formula Series with Vantelin Team Tom’s along side team mate Kazuki Nakajima.

The 2019 Super Formula champion was not initially named in the Toyota GAZOO Racing 2020 driver line-up leading to speculation that he may switch to Formula E instead.

“We had agreed a deal but things weren’t on paper, so there was a small delay,” commented Cassidy.

“But it was nothing unusual. It raised some questions, which wasn’t ideal, but I’ve been with TOM’S for five years and nothing was going to change there. “

Cassidy will shortly conduct a Formula E rookie test with Envision Virgin Racing in Marrakesh on Sunday (1 March).
