Kiwis – Born to Fly.   Dramatic new television documentary in 2023

Perspective Group today announced in partnership with its supporting sponsors the launch of a new Motorsport documentary for Sky Sports NZ. It will trace the footsteps of New Zealanders that surround the greater NTT IndyCar Series and its supporting classes during the magic month of May and early June, 2023

Kiwis – Born to Fly will follow Kiwi drivers Scott Dixon, Scott McLaughlin and Marcus Armstrong in the NTT IndyCar Series along with Hunter McElrea in Indy NXT and Jacob Douglas in USF2000. The aim is to uncover and showcase the many New Zealanders that make up the larger part of the series in various roles behind the scenes. 

This documentary will highlight and showcase the many talents New Zealand has in the world of motorsport both in and out of the car. The NTT IndyCar series today and its feeder classes represent some of the toughest and most demanding racing in all motorsport and kiwis play a major part in this. Aiming to aspire more kiwis to follow their dreams from driver to engineer ,highlighting the skills of those there that hail from New Zealand, this is their story.

The documentary will showcase the talents of the many kiwis that are spread over various teams from engineering to management roles within the NTT IndyCar series and those within the greater industry. Highlighting the contributions they make to the sport and the talent that New Zealand is providing across all forms of motorsport around the world and in this instance the United States.

The documentary will provide two stories within one ,the ultra high demanding month of May for the respective drivers and uncover the skills and talents that so many New Zealanders give to the sport in their everyday lives that are seldom known in their country of birth.

The documentary is expected to screen on Sky Sport 5 in 2023 at a date to be confirmed.
