The Red Bull Junior Team has announced that double Lady Wigram Trophy and 2017 NZ Grand Prix winner Jehan Daruvala will join the squad for 2020.

The 21-year-old Indian will contest the FIA F2 series for Carlin after an impressive 2019 season in FIA Formula 3 in which he took two victories on his way to third overall.

As a member of the tremendously successful and experienced Carlin squad he will race alongside fellow Red Bull Junior Yuki Tsunoda who recently finished fourth overall in the 2020 Castrol Toyota Racing Series.

Daruvala competed in two Toyota Racing Series seasons finishing runner up to Lando Norris in 2016 and fifth in 2017. He won the prestigious Lady Wigram Tropy in both seasons and the NZ Grand Prix in 2017 (see main picture with 2017 TRS winner Thomas Randle).

The F2 season starts in Sakhir, Barhain on March 20th-22nd and concludes with it’s 12th round at Yas Marina in the UAE in November.
