Lawson finishes runner up in ADAC German F4 Champs

Kiwi Liam Lawson has finished runner up in the ADAC German Formula 4 Championship after the final round at the Hockenheim circuit in Germany. Having secured a double pole position for the round, Lawson went on to finished second and third in the opening two races. This moved him into second place overall behind US Racing,s Lirim Zendeli, who won the second race. Zendeli had earlier secured the driver’s title previously in the penultimate round at the Nurburgring in August.

In the third race of the weekend Lawson finished down in 16th position but his nearest rival Enzo Fittipaldi also finished down the order in 14th.

Champion Lirim Zendeli celebrated his tenth win of the season in the last race of the season and together with his team mate rookie champ David Schumacher, also secured the US Racing CHRS title in the team ranking.

Zendeli finished the season on 348 points ahead of Lawson (234) and Fittipaldi (223).
