Leitch to start third at COTA in Texas

Kiwi Brendon Leitch will start third for tomorrows race 1 of the US Formula 4 Championship round that is taking place at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), in Austin, Texas. Kyle Kirkwood (2:16.136) took pole-position and the Cameron Das Fast Qualifier Award presented by Pro-Sim. The session proved to be very quick with eleven drivers were in the 2:16s in qualifying.

Leitch set a time of 2:16.306 behind Benjamin Pedersen (2:16.144).

This is the first time that F4 U.S. cars have appeared alongside the F1 cars as a supporting race which is a major boost for the FIA’s United States’ junior open-wheel series.
