Kiwi driver Hunter McElrea will be back in action this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway competing in three rounds of the IndyPro 2000. McElrea currently sits third overall in the series behind Braden Eves and Christian Rasmussen. Eves and Rasmussen are separated by just four-points with McElrea seven points further back. All three have won races this season and will be eager for more.
The trio of races will take place at 11:45 a.m. (3:45am NZ time Saturday) on Friday and at 7:50 a.m. (11:50pm NZ time Saturday) and 11:40 a.m. (3:40am NZ time Sunday) on Saturday
In the USF2000 Series, Kiwi rookie drivers’ Billy Frazer and Peter Vodanovich will also face three road-course races at the Speedway. At the last round held on the streets of St Petersburg, Frazer finished fourth, his highest place this season.
The USF2000 contenders will line up for two races on Friday, at 10:40 a.m. and 3:25 p.m. (2:40am and 7:25 am NZ time Saturday), followed by the milestone 400th race at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday (1:40am NZ time Sunday).
