Three Kiwi drivers were in action in support categories for the IndyCar Series round at Road America in Wisconsin over the weekend.
Hunter McElrea, competing in the Indy Pro 2000 Series, qualified 10th and ninth for two races at the weekend. He finished seventh and eighth and remains fifth overall on 180 points, 76 behind leader Christian Rasmussen.
In the USF2000, Billy Frazer qualified 24th and 22nd for their two races. He had a dnf in the opening race and finished in 13th in race 2.
Peter Vodanovich qualified in 21st for both races, finishing in 16th and 15th.
Both the USF2000 and Indy Pro Series’ head to Lexington Ohio for the next event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course 1-4 July 2021.
