It’s now or never for Louis Sharp and the chasing pack heading to Thruxton this weekend with nine races to go in the 2022 ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA standings. Sharp sits in fourth place, 159-points behind leader Alex Dunne and just 30-points shy of Carlin team mate Ugo Ugochukwu in third.
“I’m looking forward to returning to Thruxton this weekend,” commented Sharp. “It’s the fastest circuit on the calendar. We learned a lot about tyres on our first visit to the circuit back in May.”
Thruxton offers an abundance of slipstreaming opportunities. Club chicane is often a hotspot for late lunges and wheel-to-wheel moments in F4, and the other rising stars in the category will be looking to use that to their advantage.
Last time out at Thruxton at the end of May, Sharp qualified fourth and went on to finish 14th, ninth and then on the podium in third (main photo) in the final race of only his second F4 round.
Drivers face qualifying and two races on Saturday then a final race on Sunday.
