Rodin Motorsport’s Louis Sharp topped the times on Wednesday at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit, as action commenced ahead of this weekend’s season finale.
Sharp set his fastest time of 1m19.186s in the third and final session of the day, with that lap being just 0.054s away from last year’s pole time.
The British-born New Zealander was almost a quarter of a second clear of the field, with Hitech Pulse-Eight’s title outsider Will Macintyre his nearest rival, with the Brit recording his best lap as he topped the morning’s opening test.
JHR’s Patrick Heuzenroeder was third quickest, just over a tenth further back, and a similar distance clear of Hitech’s championship hopeful Tymek Kucharczyk in fourth.
Fortec’s Colin Queen, who was the quickest driver in session two, was just 0.009s away from the Polish contender and 0.043s ahead of Elite’s McKenzy Cresswell. Aside from Macintyre each of the top-six set their best times at the final chance of asking.
Sharp’s nearest rival John Bennett (JHR) was seventh, with his best effort coming in session one, with Elite’s Jarrod Waberski and Hugo Schwarze, plus the third Hitech of Gerrard Xie, completed the top-10 courtesy of their final efforts.
The top-10 were covered by 0.770s, with returning champion Callum Voisin just outside the top-10 for Rodin Motorsport, with his best time coming in the morning. Series newcomer, reigning GB4 champion Tom Mills, was 20th for Chris Dittmann Racing.
