Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Dunne returned to the podium in the FIA Formula 2 Championship Feature Race at the Spanish Grand Prix over the weekend. The Irishman holds fourth overall in the title fight with three rounds remaining while Rodin move back into third overall in the Teams’ Standings.
“I think it (Feature Race) was a good one and I am very happy,” commented Dunne. “I’m not normally this happy to finish second, so I’ll take it while it lasts. I think it was a good weekend. Qualifying was strong, race pace was very strong.
“The Soft tyre had quite a lot of performance, more than I expected, even with how strong it looked in the Sprint Race yesterday. Most of the drivers who used it yesterday gained places and maintained them, whereas I expected the tyre to degrade a little more towards the end.”
Teammate Martinius Stenshorne continued to collect points finishing fifth in the Sprint and eighth in the Feature Races and sits in 11th overall.
Nikola Tsolov continues to lead the Drivers’ Standings with 177 points ahead of Rafael Câmara seven points behind in second. Gabriele Minì is third on 153 points, with Dunne on 139 in fourth, Noel León fifth on 119.
In the Teams’ Standings, Campos Racing lead the way on 296 points, with Invicta Racing second with 260. Rodin Motorsport are third on 209, with MP Motorsport fourth on 190, as ART Grand Prix round out the top five on 159 points.
There are three rounds remaining at Baku (25-26 Sept), Lusail (28-29 Nov) and Abu Dhabi (5-6 December).

The Madring round was also the conclusion of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship. Rodin’s Pedro Clerot earned his first ever F3 victory with a dominant performance in the Madrid Feature Race 1. After starting in P2, the Rodin Motorsport driver took the lead off the line and led every lap to take the win ahead of Taito Kato for ART Grand Prix and MP Motorsport’s Tuukka Taponen.
The final round held two Feature Races with Tuukka Taponen taking the win and second placed Ugo Ugochukwu securing the 2026 Drivers’ Championship. Clerot again finished on the podium in third moving him into sixth overall with Rodin Motorsport also sixth in the Teams’ Standings.
