2025 Bathurst 1000 practice begins today

The sight of Supercars on Mount Panorama finally returns today, as practice begins at the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000.

The Repco Supercars Championship will hold two one-hour practice sessions today at Mount Panorama, as build up continues towards Sunday’s Great Race.

Festivities in Bathurst hit a high on Wednesday at the Repco Bathurst Street Party, where thousands of fans turned out to welcome the entire Bathurst 1000 field to Russell Street for an evening of celebration ahead of Sunday’s race.

All 27 Supercars and 54 Bathurst 1000 drivers – as well as the new-for-2026 Toyota GR Supra Supercar – drove into Bathurst CBD, bringing fans up close with the stars and cars of the Repco Bathurst 1000 on the eve of the first sessions of the event.

The Pirtek Pit Stop Challenge Finals returned to the Bathurst Street Party on Wednesday, where Brad Jones Racing re-established themselves as the top pit crew in Supercars with a flawless win over Matt Stone Racing in the final round.

Andre Heimgartner’s No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro was first across the line in the final, scoring the Kiwi driver and Albury-based team the first win of the weekend leading into the Repco Bathurst 1000.

On-track action at the Repco Bathurst 100 begins Thursday morning, with 60-minute Supercars practice sessions at 1:20 p.m. and 4:50 p.m.

The two sessions will offer the first glimpse of a form guide as to who among the 27-car field will be among the contenders for the win in Sunday’s endurance classic.
