Country music sensation joins entertainment lineup in Taupō

Kaylee Bell, Australasia’s most streamed female country artist, will perform in Taupō following the opening day of this year’s ITM Taupō Super400.

Her performance on Friday 19 April is the second to be announced as part of the off track entertainment program that will support Supercars return to New Zealand. It follows last week’s confirmation that New Zealand’s biggest music act, Six60 will be performing on the Saturday night (20 April) of the event at the Great Lakes Centre in Taupō.

Born in Waimate on New Zealand’s South Island, Kaylee Bell rose to prominence when she won an Australian Country Music Award in 2013.

Currently the most streamed female country artist in Australasia, Kaylee Bell resides in Nashville and in 2023 won the Global Country Artist Award at the Country Music Association Awards in the US, the most coveted Country Music Awards in the world.

She recently supported Ed Sheeran on his stadium tour of New Zealand, and has shared the stage with Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and Morgan Evans.

She releases her new album “Nights Like This”; on March 15 featuring the hit single “Boots n All”.

Tickets to Kaylee Bell’s Taupō’s concert will be sold exclusively to ITM Taupō Super400 ticket holders from 2pm today Monday 11 March from Ticketek.

Supercars Chief Operating Officer Tim Watsford said: “We’re thrilled to have Kaylee Bell performing in Taupō during race week, adding to what is building into one of the most exciting race weeks we have ever produced.

“We encourage fans to register for ticketing information as soon as possible for both concerts, we
anticipate both to sell out which is great news for the region.

“We’re continuing to plan more off-track entertainment for Taupō which should be confirmed in the coming weeks.”

The ITM Taupō Super400 will see Supercars, and various support categories including Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, NZ Central Muscle Cars, Toyota GAZOO Racing 86 Series NZ and Formula Ford NZ racing on the 3.32km International Circuit configuration of the venue over all three days of the event.

Supercars has secured the Taupō round in collaboration with the New Zealand Government and Taupō District Council for at least the next three years.
