Feeney snatches Sunday pole from Mostert

Triple Eight’s Broc Feeney (No. 88 Red Bull Ampol Chevrolet Camaro) has snared pole position for Sunday’s race at the Thrifty Bathurst 500.

Feeney beat out fellow Gold Coaster Chaz Mostert (No. 25 Mobil 1 Optus Ford Mustang) by just 0.09 of a second in a thrilling Boost Mobile Top 10 Shootout at Mount Panorama.

After winning yesterday’s season-opener, 21-year old Feeney’s first career pole at Bathurst sets him up in the box seat ahead of this afternoon’s race.

Toowoomba’s Will Brown (No. 87 Red Bull Ampol Chevrolet Camaro) will line up third after taking yesterday’s pole and finishing second.

James Golding (No. 31 Nulon Chevrolet Camaro) will start fourth ahead of David Reynolds (No. 20 Tradie Beer Chevrolet Camaro) fifth.

Race 2 of the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship begins at 3:05 p.m.
