Feeney‘s wild lap scores pole for Saturday at Gold Coast 500

Broc Feeney has netted Boost Mobile Pole for this afternoon’s Supercars race at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, with a wild, bruising lap in the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout.

The 24-year old from the Gold Coast smashed tyre bundles and scraped walls on his first and only lap, but came out on top when the chequered flag fell, for his fifth pole position of 2026.

2025 Supercars champion Chaz Mostert will line up second for today’s race, making an all-Gold Coaster front row on the streets of Surfers Paradise.

Feeney is still seeking his first win on his home track.

Earlier in the day, Cam Waters took Nic Hamilton – British Touring Car Championship driver and brother of 7-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton – for a lap of the Surfers Paradise circuit, introducing the Englishman to the wild world Supercars.

Yesterday’s provisional pole sitter Anton De Pasquale will line up third, making for a Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet 1-2-3 to start today’s race.

Mostert’s teammate Ryan Wood was hit with a kerb strike on his Shootout lap, and will start 10th.

Among the 10 Finalists, three will be eliminated from Championship contention this weekend, with seven advancing to the Sandown 500 in a fortnight’s time.

Today’s Supercars race on the Gold Coast starts at 3:15 p.m. AEST, with teams expecting a wet race.

If a Finals driver wins today’s race, he automatically advances to Sandown.
