Tensions are rising for Supercars’ first-ever Grand Final, which takes place this weekend on the famed streets of Adelaide. The 25-car Supercars field will hit the track on Thursday for first practice, with all eyes on four drivers battling it out to be crowned 2025 Repco Supercars Champion.
Championship leader Broc Feeney, two-time Bathurst 1000 winner Chaz Mostert, defending Supercars champion Will Brown, and rookie Kai Allen will don the orange numbers for his weekend’s event, indicating their eligibility in the inaugural Supercars Finals.
All four drivers have had their points reset following the Sandown 500 two weeks ago. As the top seed Feeney has 5050 points to his credit, followed by Mostert at 5030, Brown at 5015, and Allen at 5000.

There are 300 points total on offer across this weekend’s three races. The Finals driver with the most points at the end of the weekend will be 2025 Supercars champion.
Feeney has had a near-historic 2025 season, with 13 wins and 16 pole positions, the latter tying Scott McLaughlin’s all-time record from 2017.
The 23-year-old from the Gold Coast won the Super3 and Super2 titles on his way up the Supercars ladder, and having already been compared to 7-time champion Jamie Whincup, will be laser-focused on chalking up his first Supercars title this weekend.

While many expected Feeney to feature in the Grand Final, far fewer would have predicted Mount Gambier’s Kai Allen to be in the mix for the championship at this late stage.
The 20-year old in his first full Supercars season has been remarkably consistent, and keeping clean while other contenders faltered, has found himself as the fourth and final seed in the Grand Final.
Coincidentally, both Feeney and Matt Payne – Allen’s teammate and 2025 Bathurst 1000 winner – scored their first career wins in the final race of their rookie season, on the streets of Adelaide.
Should Allen be able to replicate that feat, it very well could include a fairytale ending as Supercars champion in his home state, and the first rookie to become champion since Craig Lowndes in 1996.
The stage is set for an historic Supercars weekend in Adelaide at the bp Adelaide Grand Final.
There will be three Supercars races this weekend, with Mega Rewards backing a $50,000 bounty for the 100-kilometre Friday race on the famed Adelaide street circuit.
Saturday and Sunday will feature the customary 250-kilometre Supercars race, with the all-new Finals format all-but guaranteeing the championship battle will go down to the final lap of 2025.
The 25-car field, which includes a wildcard entry for NASCAR driver Austin Cindric, will hit the track Thursday for opening practice to kick off the highly-anticipated Grand Final event.
