Holden on brink of Manufacturers’ title – hardly fair!

Supercars.com reports….‘Victory for any Commodore in the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 would secure the 2018 Supercars Manufacturers’ title for Holden’.

Well, from my last count there were 15 Holden’s, seven Ford’s and four Nissan’s on the grid at the Sandown 500. Now that doesn’t seem fair.

OK, there are driver and team championship titles, but a ‘one-sided manufacturers’ crown?

Apparently this is determined solely by race wins.

Well the odds are particularly stacked against Nissan!

Holden drivers have won 15 of the 24 races held to date this season, against eight for Ford and one for Nissan.

With seven races to go, Ford can still tie Holden on 15 wins, but any triumph for the General will prove a knock-out blow in the battle’.
