Today marks the second day of on-track action at the 60th anniversary Repco Bathurst 1000, and qualifying day for the 2023 Great Race.
There are two one-hour practice sessions today – at 10:00 a.m. and 1:05 p.m. AEDT – before all 28 Supercars take to the 6.213km circuit for qualifying at 4:15 p.m., where the majority of the grid will be set for Sunday’s 1000-kilometre classic.
The 10 fastest drivers from qualifying today will then advance to Saturday’s famed Top Ten Shootout to determine the pole sitter for the 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000.
Erebus Motorsport led the way in Thursday’s practice sessions, with Will Brown (No. 9 Coca-Cola Chevrolet Camaro) topping Practice 1 and David Russell (No. 99 Coca-Cola Chevrolet Camaro) leading the co-driver only Practice 2.

Melbourne’s Grove Racing has also been strong, posting the second quickest times of each session with Kiwi rookie Matt Payne (No. 19 Penrite Ford Mustang) and David Reynolds’ co-driver Garth Tander (No. 26 Penrite Ford Mustang) behind the wheel in Thursday’s respective hit outs.
The Repco Supercars Championship’s first practice session of Friday begins at 1:20 p.m. AEDT, with two sessions scheduled today ahead of qualifying Friday afternoon.
