Red Bull front row, Finalists buried for Sunday race at GC500

Rain has brought the drama again at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, shuffling up the order for today’s 250-kilometre race in Surfers Paradise.

Broc Feeney has taken pole position for today’s race in the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout, his second on the trot this weekend.

The 24-year old Gold Coaster will be joined by teammate and Toowoomba’s Will Brown on the front row, in a wet and wild Shootout.

Blanchard Racing Team’s Aaron Cameron nearly played spoiler for the Supercars Finals drivers, qualifying third.

Today’s qualifying brought several surprises, with no less than three of the 10 Supercars Finals drivers set to 20th or worse on a crucial day for the championship fight.

Yesterday’s runaway winner Chaz Mostert qualified 9th, though is already locked in to advance to the Semi Final at Sandown in two weeks.

On his solo Supercars debut, Brisbane boy and rookie Jarrod Hughes impressed by making the Shootout on Sunday and qualifying 6th.

Today’s race will decide which seven drivers progress to next month’s Sandown Semi Final, as the battle to crown the 2026 Repco Supercars Champion intensifies.

Kai Allen, Ryan Wood, and Jack Le Brocq are all on the outside looking in coming into today. Allen will start 22nd and Le Brocq 20th, with fellow Finalist Anton De Pasquale between them in 21st.

The final 85-lap race of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 begins at 2:45 p.m. AEST.
