Walkinshaw TWG Racing has welcomed Kiwi Scott O’Donnell to the Team as a Director, after ODFI Ltd purchased shares in Melbourne based outfit.
The Team’s ownership structure sees ODFI Ltd join existing shareholders, Walkinshaw Group, led by Ryan Walkinshaw, and TWG Motorsports, led by Dan Towriss. The team’s name and entity remain unchanged.
O’Donnell, who hails from New Zealand, is also a Director of HW Richardson Group. The Group owns 46 companies, employing 2000 people across six sectors including road freight.
“It’s fantastic to be joining Walkinshaw TWG Racing, a place and a team I know very well,” commented O’Donnell.
“The opportunity came up late last year with United Autosports moving on, and it caught our interest once the team reached out. It was all pretty seamless from there really. Motorsport has always been a huge passion of mine, and while I hadn’t considered a role like this before, I am genuinely excited to be involved.”

His connection with motorsport runs deep. A lifelong passion has seen him connected behind the wheel, as well as playing a key role in numerous careers of New Zealand drivers, including Ryan Wood and Louis Sharp. In 2025, he was appointed as a trustee of the MotorSport New Zealand Scholarship Trust.
O’Donnell is no stranger to the Team either, through HW Richardson Group’s role as the Mobil 1 Lubricants distributor in New Zealand, through its Allied Petroleum business.
Scott was alongside Ryan Walkinshaw and Dan Towriss at the recent Australian Grand Prix, before the Team heads to New Zealand for the double header at Taupo and Ruapuna, where he will once again be in attendance.
