Supercars, Superbikes mark 10-day countdown to Ipswich Super440

Anticipation continues to build for next week’s Century Batteries Ipswich Super440, where the Repco Supercars Championship will make its long-awaited return to Queensland Raceway, 8-10 August 2025.

The event will feature the popular “two-by-four” crossover, with the mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul (ASBK) joining the bill where the top car and motorcycle racers in the country will race on the same track on the same weekend.

Supercars and ASBK marked the 10-day countdown to the event by pitting the Chevrolet Camaros of Richie Stanaway and Zach Bates alongside three-time ASBK champion Mike Jones’ Yamaha and the Ducati of Broc Pearson on-track at QR on Monday.

Next weekend’s event will be Supercars’ first at Queensland Raceway since 2019, and first at “the paperclip” since the introduction of Gen3 Supercars in 2023.

The event also hosts the final Supercars sprint races of 2025, with the championship leader at the end of the event to be awarded the Repco Sprint Cup and an automatic entry into the Supercars Finals.

Gold Coaster Broc Feeney is in the box seat for the Sprint Cup, boasting a 220-point lead over Triple Eight Race Engineering teammate Will Brown.

It’s a home race for Toowoomba’s Brown, who will be counting on the support of dozens of friends and family to push the 2024 Supercars champion to victory in the weekend’s three scheduled races.

Supercars races at the Century Batteries Ipswich Super440 August 8-10, which will the eighth event of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship season.

Along with ASBK, the event will also see the Dunlop Super2 Series, Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, and Toyota GR Cup in action, making for a full schedule of two and four-wheel racing across the weekend.
