The VAILO Adelaide 500 continues today as the Repco Supercars Championship prepares to qualify for its first race of the weekend on the streets of Adelaide.
Today’s action will include a 30-minute practice session just after midday before qualifying takes place at 5:35 p.m. ACDT.
The 10 fastest drivers from qualifying on Friday will participate in the ArmorAll Top Ten Shootout on Saturday to battle for pole position.
2022 race winner Chaz Mostert led the first Supercars practice of the weekend on Thursday afternoon, with Kiwis Andre Heimgartner and Matt Payne rounding out the top three.
In the wet session on Thursday, championship leader Brodie Kostecki was ninth fastest, while Shane van Gisbergen – the only driver mathematically eligible to challenge Kostecki for the title – only managed the 22nd fastest lap.
The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will be decided this weekend at the VAILO Adelaide 500, taking place November 23-26 on the famous streets of Adelaide.
