Tickets for inaugural Taupō Supercars event go on sale

Tickets for the Repco Supercars Championship’s return to New Zealand and the inaugural ITM Taupō SuperSprint go on sale Wednesday, as the championship’s highly anticipated return across the ditch inches closer.

Supercars will race at Taupō International Motorsport Park for the first time from April 19-21, 2024, marking the third different NZ venue to host a championship round after Pukekohe Park Raceway and the Hamilton street circuit.

Ticket sales will open from 2:00 p.m. NZDT on Wednesday, November 8 (12:00 p.m. AEDT), with Early Bird pricing available through Wednesday, December 16.

Along with Platinum and Silver level grandstand seating options, single day and three-day Trackside General Admission tickets will be available purchase, with the option to add paddock access to multi-day tickets.

Kids 12 years and under can attend the ITM Taupō SuperSprint for free with a paying adult.

Tickets for the inaugural event will be available via Ticketek NZ, Supercars’ official ticketing partner.

The 3.32-kilometre circuit, located just northeast of Lake Taupō in the centre of the North Island, will become the 35th circuit to host Australasia’s premier racing category and seventh venue outside Australian shores.

At least four Kiwis are set to contest the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship, led by Brad Jones Racing’s Andre Heimgartner and 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000 winner Richie Stanaway, who returns to full-time racing at Grove Racing.

Grove Racing will sport an all-Kiwi line-up next year with impressive 21-year old Matt Payne lining up alongside Stanaway, with newcomer Ryan Wood joining the championship with Walkinshaw Andretti United.

The 2024 ITM Taupō SuperSprint takes place April 19-21, 2024.
