Two Supercars races today in Christchurch

Supercars is back in action today at Ruapuna Raceway, as part of this weekend’s inaugural ITM Christchurch Super 440.

The Championship made its on-track debut yesterday, capped by a historic first win in the career of 20-year old Kai Allen.

The South Australian held off championship leader Brodie Kostecki by 0.7 of a second to take home his first Supercars victory Friday afternoon.

There are two more chances for winners at Ruapuna Raceway today.

On-track action in Christchurch resumes this morning with Supercars Boost Mobile Qualifying from 10:05 a.m. NZST, which will set the grid for today’s two 120-kilometre races.

Race 11 of the 2026 Supercars season begins at 12:45 p.m. followed by Race 12 at 4:10 p.m.

The driver who scores the most points across the Taupō and Christchurch events will be awarded the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy, named for beloved Kiwi driver Jason Richards who succumbed to cancer in 2011.

Heading into today’s action, Wellington’s Ryan Wood leads Kostecki by 40 points in the JR Trophy standings.
