Visa Cash App Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson has gained another crucial Drivers’ F1 Championship point after finishing eighth in the British Grand Prix Sprint race at Silverstone on Saturday. Merceddes’ Kimi Antonelli took victory ahead of Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) and Lando Norris (McLaren).

“Honestly. I think it is the best we could have done,” said Lawson. “We had a bad start, and realistically we don’t have the speed to fight the top guys. If we can do something similar tomorrow, then that would be great.”

In qualifying for the British Grand Prix, both VCARB drivers made it through to Q3. Arvid Lindblad starts ninth with Lawson in tenth on the grid.

Kimi Antonelli will start from pole position for the fifth time this season after going quickest in Qualifying with the Ferrari pair of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton at bay, second and third quickest.

“The car is really good,” said Lawson. It’s been good all day. We haven’t changed anything all day. We have come to these weekends and been quite aggressive which seems to be working. It’s a good starting position for tomorrow.”
