Kiwi Bendon Leitch has been promoted to the Lamborghini Young Professional Driver status for the 2024 season. A seasoned GT3 competitor already, Leitch will again represent the Sant’Agata Bolognese firm on the international stage for Leipert Motorsport, with his 2024 program to be confirmed at a later date.
“I’m very proud to have become a Lamborghini Young Professional Driver,” said Leitch. “It’s the icing on the cake to what’s been an incredible year! Thank you to all that have supported me until this point, let the fun begin.”
Leitch took part in the Super Trofeo Junior Drivers program shootout, which was only accessible to drivers competing in the one-make Lamborghini Super Trofeo division. Participants had to be aged between 19 and 26and were evaluated at Vallelunga on November 20–21, after the Super Trofeo World Finals in Italy.
Leitch won the 2023 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe series while also campaigning in several GT3 series in both Europe and Asia with his Leipert Motorsport Team.
