CCC win the Canterbury Interclub Series

Canterbury Car Club have reclaimed the 2025 Canterbury Motorsport Interclub Series after a high-powered final round on Somerton Rd, north of Ashburton.

Round 6 was the Ashburton Car Club Standing Quarter Mile on Saturday 29th November with a simple format. Attract high powered cars and offer drivers a chance to exceed the standard road speed so they can test their machines in the one opportunity they get each year.

And boy did it work. A great entry of 27 turned out on sweltering day for the short blast into the heat haze.

Knowing what was on the line, only Canterbury Car Club fielded any opposition. Their five members delivered, scoring 65 to Ashburton’s maximum 90-points. After a three-year hiatus, the Dave McCahon Interclub Trophy returns to Canterbury’s cabinet.

Full results are on the Ashburton Car Club Facebook page showing that Ashburton’s Adrian Moore (Skyline) took the win
