With just five weeks to go till the first Round, the calendar is set for the Auckland Motorcycle Club Summer series for 2016-17. And it’s a new-look schedule that reflects the evolution of Hampton Downs under the direction of new owner Tony Quinn, who has invested heavily to fully complete construction, and develop the complex into a world-class motor sport facility.

The AMCC Club Series will this summer be held over four Rounds, all at Hampton Downs, and equally split between the traditional 2.7 km “National” circuit, and the newly completed 1.2 km “Club” circuit.

The Club circuit will provide a new challenge for racers. Short and sharp in nature, it will evoke sentiment from those who recall the similarly challenging Club configuration at Pukekohe – long since unused – and the original Taupo circuit, both of which were similar in length.

A broad range of classes will be catered for in the Series; from Formula Auckland (Formula One) class machinery through to the extremely popular Post Classic classes.

AMCC is further very pleased to announce that – in association with Hyosung New Zealand – the Hyosung Cup will be back for a sixth consecutive year. With Carl Cox Motorsport as their principle sponsor, this one-make
Manufacturer supported category will likely provide some of the most exciting racing of the Series.

The countdown is on ……….
