NIEDRC announce revised endurance racing calendar

The North Island Endurance Drivers Racing Club (NIEDRC) has announced a revised calendar for the coming season.

“It will see us run one less event than we would normally run as well as having to shift those dates into September and October, said David Dovey, President of NIERDC.

Given the current economic situation, the club has reduced the series to two rounds, both based in Auckland. The aim is to allow those teams that have the necessary budget to travel to Highlands Motorsport Park for the MSNZ NZ Endurance Championship run by SIERDC on the 6/7 November.

“The club’s committee has spent a considerable amount of time working through the many challenges we all face including avoiding direct clash’s with SIERDC’s dates, and Bathurst, etc.

“We have also been working with our Series supporters, Michelin and Harris race radios to ensure they have sufficient resources to support both the South and North Island separate endurance series and we are pleased to say they are all on board with our new dates.”

ROUND ONE
Hampton Downs – 18 – 19 September 2020

ROUND TWO
Pukekohe – 23 – 24 October 2020
